The historic Montrose Theater
The Historic Montrose Theater is a cherished local venue that hosted an impressive estimated 6,000 visitors during each fully operating year. From the first showing in 1917, this theater has offered a diverse range of entertainment options, from movies to live performances and engaging workshops.
The Montrose Restoration Committee took over operations in 2023, and it has been evident that this theater holds a truly special place in the community and has incredible potential for growth. With successful turnouts and a packed house for the first showing of the year, we are excited to see what the future of the theater holds. Montrose Area Restoration
Thanks to the "area restoration" program, we are preserving our historic buildings, improving our streetscapes, and creating a more welcoming environment for residents and visitors alike.
